Why I Paint?

I decided to do a series of work with a new focus.  I wanted to recreate the world that surrounds us – my world, but also the world shown on the regional and international television and in the newspapers.

I tried to convey my attitude towards these things. Therefore, I work in series and each touches a certain problem. Most of my work is for non commercial purpose and their names do not represent the serious problems I reproduced and may sound even a little frivolous. Why am I creating? This is the world around me with its good and bad sides and I show them. The series of paintings often hide questions for the viewer, and sometimes they can ask theirselfs – Why is this thing painted? My ambition is for everyone to perceive my workdifferently and ask themselves some questions. The artist’s style and aesthetics are in the background here. Most of the works have the social focus in common, but each one stays on its own.  I often work digital, but also every piece has its own process and technique. As an artist I feel that it is my obligation to translate my personal experiences, but also include exciting public facts from the surrounding world in my art. All of the characters are based on real people. I hope the viewer can feel them, understand them and they can excite him.
